![]() Our timer and various other aspects of the technology in the room glitched. One of the puzzles required observing items in three different rooms and identifying differences between them, which was impossible. ![]() The writing and symbols needed for codes were either missing, illegible, or took significant effort to guess. The materials used to discover or activate clues were broken or working poorly. The lighting in the rooms was terrible and we had to ask to use the light on our phone to even observe our surroundings and the clues. My partner and I have done more than a dozen escape rooms across the country, and this escape room experience was hands down the worst we’ve ever experienced. 3 months ago I don’t typically post reviews however, I’m posting this with the goal of preventing others from having the same experience. But when we tried to buy that extra time up front the website refused us, and no one offered us they just stopped us a couple of minutes before actually solving.ġLeslie D. We were told we were on the last puzzle when they stopped us. Also, we originally thought it a clever option that we could request additional chunks of 15 minutes if we so desired rather than losing with just a couple minutes to go. One set of wet pants that we had to search through that was actually a little bit gross. We ould have to ask her to repeat, and she would often give bad info that would lead us in a completely bad direction when we would have been better off without any. There was loud audio through all of it that would make it almost impossible to hear the chick who would break in, without us asking, when we were in the middle of a puzzle and give us garbled information that we couldn't understand. And we have not gotten out of rooms before and had a blast doing it anyway. 11 months ago My husband and I have done many escape rooms, and this is the worst one I have ever been in. The staff is super friendly and helpful, so we were overall pleased with customer service.ġSybil H. I think it could be a little easier because no one likes to spend $35 to feel dumb for an hour. ![]() Though we were close to getting in the second room (only one puzzle away □). Granted there were only 3 of us, it still was quite hard. Don't get me wrong, everyone in my party enjoys challenges and has vast experience with escape rooms, but even us well-educated adults were stumped. But, that just seems like such a sad statistic. Come to find out that only 2% make it out of the room we were in (which was the first of TWO rooms for the Mayan Curse), so thankfully the ego blow wasn't too bad. We didn't know where to look or what was relevant. Truly, all the different hieroglyphic-like symbols everywhere seemed the same after being in the room for a while. Maybe a few more written clues would help facilitate the process a bit more for those like me who need words to help solve the hard picture/symbol tasks. However, it was extremely difficult and mostly based on pictures and graphics that all blended together at some point. 1 year ago I struggled to choose the appropriate rating because it was a cool escape room.
